EPA & DHA, read from the label

About PetFishOilGuide

PetFishOilGuide compares fish oil and salmon oil products for dogs using the numbers printed by the manufacturers: how much EPA and DHA is in one serving, how much is in a milliliter, how many servings are in the container, and whether the product carries the NASC Quality Seal.

Who runs this site

PetFishOilGuide is written and maintained by a small independent editorial team, credited on every page as the PetFishOilGuide editorial team. We started it because fish oil labels for pets are hard to compare: one bottle lists "fish oil" milligrams, another a teaspoon, a third a pump, and few put EPA and DHA side by side. We are not veterinarians, veterinary technicians, or nutritionists, and we do not have a veterinarian on staff. We read product labels and published veterinary dosing ranges carefully and put them side by side.

What we do

What we do not do

How the site earns money

Product links go to Amazon. If you buy after clicking one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This is how the site pays for itself. It does not change the order of products on our pages, which follows label data. Details are on the affiliate disclosure page, and the steps we follow are on the methodology page.

Spot a mistake?

Labels change, and we make mistakes too. If a number on this site does not match the current label, tell us through the contact page and include a link to the manufacturer page. We will check it and correct it.
